2011 Jenkins Community Survey Results

The results from the first Jenkins Community Survey are in! 624 Jenkins users took the time to share how they use Jenkins and to rank the Jenkins capabilities that matter the most to them. Underscoring the widespread usage of Jenkins as a development platform, 82% of respondents said Jenkins is mission critical to their development process.

Other Survey Highlights:

  • Jenkins is useful for companies of any size, but 76% of Jenkins users said they work for organizations with more than 10 developers
  • 80% of respondents have three or fewer Masters and 10 or fewer Build Agents
  • 65% of Jenkins survey takers have 10 or fewer Executors
  • 76% of Jenkins users have between two and 50 projects in process within their company
  • 71% use Jenkins as their sole CI tool
  • Additional reporting and high availability were the highest-prioritized features
